Effective Date: March 2, 2026This Privacy Policy describes how ShoutPLEX ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our iOS application available on the Apple App Store. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
1. Our Core Privacy Commitment
ShoutPLEX was built with privacy as a foundational principle. The App contains:
• No third-party trackers or analytics SDKs
• No advertisements of any kind
• No in-app purchases
• No data collection by us
We do not collect, store, transmit, share, or sell any personal information about our users.
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
If you choose to use Broadcastify integration, your Broadcastify login credentials (username and password) are stored locally in the App's sandboxed storage on your device. This storage is managed by iOS and is subject to Apple's standard app data protection.
These credentials are:
• Stored only on your device
• Never transmitted to us or any third party
• Transmitted exclusively to Broadcastify's own servers via HTTPS when the App authenticates your account on your behalf
You may delete your credentials at any time by removing them within the App or by uninstalling the App entirely.
3. Network Communications
The App establishes network connections solely to play audio streams you select, including SHOUTcast, Icecast, and Broadcastify streams. These connections:
• Are initiated directly by your device to the respective streaming service
• Use standard internet protocols (HTTP/HTTPS)
• Do not route through any servers we operate
Your IP address may be visible to the streaming services you connect to, in the same way as any other internet connection. We have no control over the privacy practices of those services, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
4. Open Source Transparency
The App's source code is fully open source. You can review the codebase to independently verify our privacy claims. Source code information and links are available in the App's Settings page.
5. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we collect no personal information whatsoever, we have no data pertaining to minors.
6. Third-Party Services
ShoutPLEX enables you to connect to third-party streaming services including Broadcastify, SHOUTcast, and Icecast. Your interactions with those services — including any account credentials, usage data, or personal information — are governed by those services' own privacy policies and terms of service. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party service.
7. Data Security
Since we do not collect or store any user data on our own systems, there is no personal information of yours that we could expose in a security incident. Your Broadcastify credentials stored locally on your device are protected by iOS's built-in app sandboxing and data protection mechanisms.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
9. Your Rights
Because we collect no personal information, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end. If you wish to remove locally stored Broadcastify credentials from your device, you may do so through the App's settings or by uninstalling the App.
